A very solid chair, made of oak.

Particularly comfortable becuase of the backrest and armrests.

The story tells that this kind of chair was made for Richard Whiting, the last Abbot of Glastonbury, England. Probably this shape was known from the early middle- ages but seems to disappear in a time of later middle age to re-emerge again in Italy by the XVth century.
